A Light Emitting Diode (LED) is a light source used in the areas of aviation, automotive, advertising, general lighting, traffic signals, electronics, etc... because of its advantages over other light sources like lower energy consumption, longer lifetime, durability and size.
LEDs have been increasingly the latest fashion trend since a couple of years ago, where it started appearing on premium cars and now you can see them on all sorts of new / old / premium / budget cars.
So far so good, but then...
If they are being used on off-road vehicles for better vision in the pitch black expeditions, I would understand that, as they are the best means for such a purpose.
But then again, those budget cars and other salon cars that wear them on their front grills and bumpers as accessories... they are so tiny that they barely provide any added value to the visibility and what is even more annoying, is having them stuck behind you.
Starring at them in your rear view mirror can be so annoying that my eyes start to tear up.
Why, they do not look as cool and hip as you think and they are really annoying chasing you at the highway.
Please stop this craze...
